Tiki Bosko is a company which features the carvings, ceramics, and various art endeavors of Bosko Hrnjak. Bosko is considered to be one of the enablers of the recent polynesian pop culture movement and is largely responsible for the mass rediscovery of all things "tiki" over the past 10 years. For this project, Imagextreme assembled a set of archive photos (all taken by Bosko) of a San Diego tiki landmark, along with multiple supplementary images, into a seamless single landscape. This was especially challenging as the original perspectives and light sources of the images were all different. This required extensive photo retouching, compositing, manipulation, and Photoshop trickery. The result was a photorealistic image which was then color separated to produce a limited edition silkscreened fine art print. The silkscreened version of the image was styled like an old colorized photo with oversized halftone dots. Both images are shown below. Original image size is 24" x 14".
